AFRICA, CRADLE OF HUMANITY

It is now admitted that Africa is the cradle of humanity. To come up with this evidence, it took decades of efforts by scientists from Africa and elsewhere to exhume the fossilized remains of our distant ancestors from the lunar landscape of the Rift Valley and from the depths of the Chadian desert. Toumaï ” and ” Dinknesh “, who are today recognized as the precursors of the human race. They are the witnesses of the inexorable march of the human race towards more humanity, more technicality and especially more inventiveness.

THE LINES OF CONTINUITY

Africa is not just about its breakthroughs: it unfolds in the continuity of a heritage passed down from generation to generation. This exhibition weaves a thread between the emblematic figures who have shaped history and those who continue today their work. Through portraits, testimonies and works, she explores the persistence of values, struggles and visions that cross time. From our past heroes to the builders of the present, “Les lignes de continuité” is an ode to memory and African resilience.

FRONT LINE

September 2025 – Now

This poignant exhibition restores to the Senegalese people its heroic struggle to free itself from a neocolonial and repressive political order. This exhibition is in this way a page of photographed and filmed history that restores with strength and emotion the abnegation of a people in struggle. The photographers, Ndoye and co, through their productions, were able to be lucid observers and accomplices both of the enthusiasm and sufferings of a youth in the assault on its freedom and hopes.

THE CONTRIBUTION TO SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

For millennia, Africa has been a hotbed of innovation and knowledge. From the astronomical calculations of the Dogons to the hydraulic systems of the kingdom of Meroë, from the scientific manuscripts of Timbuktu to contemporary discoveries, Africans have always shaped science in their image: intuitive, supportive, turned towards life.

This exhibition pays tribute to the scientists, engineers and inventors of the continent and the diaspora, who laid the foundations of modern knowledge. It celebrates African creativity as the engine of technological progress rooted in humanity and transmission.

Continental Civilization invites you to a journey through the arts, rites and knowledge that connect peoples from North to South, from East to West. The exhibition highlights the cultural, spiritual and social convergences that underpin African grandeur. It celebrates this unity in diversity, this permanent dialogue between peoples who have been building the world’s consciousness together for millennia.

TAXAWAAYU JIGEENU AFRICA, is a new exhibition that pays vibrant tribute to the women of Africa and the diaspora. From science to art, from politics to innovation, this exhibition highlights female figures who broke barriers, inspired generations and left a mark on the history of our continent. Come celebrate the success and strength of women who shape our world!
